  • How long does the application process take?

    We strive to get completed applications a decision within 24-48 hours.

    Please note, we are just the leasing team and it is the owner who makes the final application decision, so sometimes it goes a bit quicker or takes slightly longer.

    We will do our absolute best to get you a response as fast as possible, that’s our job!

  • Should I add a Cosigner?

    If you are a student, new to the workforce, or do not meet general application requirements, a cosigner could be a good idea!

    You are also welcome to add a co-signer later in the process if you think you could potentially qualify by yourself!

  • Is there anything I can do to help expedite my application process?

    Absolutely, yes! You can include the correct documents in your application upon applying, which saves the back and forth of us reaching out for you to send the missing documents.

    Please feel free to ask your showing agent or anyone in our office to confirm which documents to include.

    Note: Since we work with many different property managers and landlords, the documents to include may vary property to property.

  • Is my application transferable to all the different properties? Is it the same application link for every property?

    It is not the same application link for every single property.

    We do the leasing for many different property managers and owners, and some of them require their own company application be filled out before approving someone, rather than our HBR-standard one.

    That being said, any application you fill out can transfer for free to many other properties but not every single one of them.

  • How long before my move-in should I start looking and applying for apartments?

    Typically, landlords all over LA only intend to hold their apartments for an approved applicant, for a move in date 2-3 weeks out maximum. That being said, a good time to begin your search would be 3-4 weeks prior to your move in.

  • How do I schedule a showing?

    Here is our vacancy list. There is a green “schedule a showing” button on the top right corner of each listing. Please use that to schedule either a virtual or in person tour!

  • Do you offer virtual or in person tours?

    Yes! We offer both! You can use the same property’s showing scheduling links too no matter which showing option you prefer. If you are scheduling a virtual tour through the scheduling link, it is helpful for the showing agent to write your name as “VIRTUAL -” (name)

  • Is Hoffman Brothers Realty a management company or landlord?

    Good question. Hoffman Brothers Realty is an A-Z leasing operation and we work for various owners and property management companies to help lease their vacancies.

    We are a leasing bridge between prospective renters and the landlords/management companies. We run the marketing, showings, application processing, and we then let you know the final application decision from the owner of the property.

  • Is it free to lease through Hoffman Brothers Realty?

    WE ARE 100% FREE FOR TENANTS.

    We get commission from the landlords/managers upon leasing.

  • What are your hours?

    Our showing agents are out on the field touring vacancies 7 days a week, roughly between 9:30AM – 5:30PM.

    And, our office is open M-F 9:00AM – 5:00PM.

  • What should I do if there are no showing times that work for me?

    We can put you in touch with the showing agent assigned to the property and they can work out a time with you!
